Teeth Whitening

In addition to internal discoloration of teeth due to congenital factors or that occur with the use of antibiotics; external discolorations may also occur as a result of consuming beverages such as tea, coffee, fruit juice, wine or smoking. The discoloration of the teeth can be removed with the bleaching process, and you can have white teeth again.

The Process

In order to get a more effective result from the teeth whitening process, the patient’s teeth should be scaled before whitening. The number of sessions is usually 2-3, depending on the coloration of the tooth. Before the procedure, the gums are covered with a protective barrier and then a whitening gel is applied to the teeth. Whitening gel is applied to the teeth 2 or 3 times in approximately 15 minutes. Between sessions, the patient is recommended to refrain from consuming tea, coffee, wine, etc. and to minimize smoking. It is recommended to use desensitizing toothpastes between whitening sessions.
