Eyelid Aesthetics

With the effect of aging, sun rays, air pollution, irregular sleep, smoking and alcohol use, and gravity, skin naturally sags. As a result of this, sagging, bagging, loosening, discoloration, relaxation and wrinkles appear on the eyelids. The lower or upper eyelids gain their desired appearance with blepharoplasty, which is an application in which the tissues around the eyes are stretched and sagging skin and excess muscle tissue are removed.

The Process:

For upper eyelid aesthetics, the doctor makes an incision from the eyelid fold line as determined in the pre-examination, ensuring that the surgical scar is not visible. In case of lower eyelid problems such as under-eye bags and wrinkles, the under-eye lid is corrected through the incision made under the eyelashes. If necessary, fat bags are taken out, herniation points are tightened, the skin in front of the bagging is tightened. Then the incision is stitched from the lash line area, so there is no surgical scar. The upper eyelid procedure takes an average of 30 minutes. On the lower eyelids, the procedure takes an average of 1-1.5 hours. One week before the operation, the use of blood thinners and smoking and alcohol consumption should be stopped. The edema that occurs in the first days of the healing process is usually resolved at the end of the first week and the patient can return to his normal life in the second week.
