Implant Applications

Implant is an advanced technology artificial tooth root made of titanium and similar tissue-friendly materials and placed in the jawbone. The dental prosthesis, which is fixed on the implant tooth root placed in the jawbone, fulfills all the duties of a natural tooth. The implant has no known harm to the body, but some patients may have allergic sensitivities. Such a situation can be prevented by a specialist doctor’s control before treatment.

The Process:

The implant can be applied to anyone who is over the age of 18 and has completed bone, face and jaw development. In the examination made by the specialist doctor before the treatment, visual materials are used to explain how an implant and prosthesis will be applied. If the patient is suitable and the recommended treatment is approved, treatment is started. The patient’s mouth area is anesthetized with local anesthesia. According to the x-ray and tomography images, implant slots are opened in the patient’s jawbone. Implants are placed in the opened slots. If a single-stage implant treatment is applied, a temporary cap is placed on the implant. In two-stage treatments, after the implant is placed, the gums are closed on the implant. After the healing process, which varies between 2-6 days, permanent prostheses are placed. The patient can return to his normal life the day after the implant treatment. Implants can be used for a lifetime if required care is taken and attention is paid to tooth hygiene.
